SwimTrekkers Swim the World

SwimTrekkers Swim the World

Every November Seatrees partner SwimTrek, the world’s leading provider of open water swimming holidays, organizes the SwimTrek60K - a virtual challenge encouraging people from all over the world to swim at least 60 kilometres in a month, while raising awareness and funds to protect our ocean planet.

In November 2025, the SwimTrek60K took on its biggest challenge yet: to collectively swim 40,075 kilometres, the equivalent of the distance around the Earth’s equator.

This ambitious Swim the World challenge surpassed its goal, with 1,425 participants swimming 41,516 kilometers!

SwimTrek donated $5 for every swimmer to Seatrees to support our coastal ecosystem restoration projects. This donation planted 100 coral fragments in Costa Rica, 300 coral fragments in Fiji, and restored 1,000 square feet of seagrass and macroalgae in Spain. This was in addition to SwimTrek's ongoing contributions towards Seatrees' carbon sequestration projects.

We love partners like SwimTrek who show up for our ocean planet in unique and authentic ways. Swimmers are deeply connected to our ocean and some of our most dedicated ambassadors.

Thank you SwimTrek and all the participants in this year’s Swim the World challenge!
