With some help from Seatrees – every man made wave born in a Surf Park can create a swell of positive change in the natural world

Giving Back to the Ocean

Protecting Our Playground

Seatrees Surf Park Partners are not just creating waves, they are re-creating the culture of surfing that was born in the ocean thousands of years ago and perfected by ancient Hawaiians – who not only gave the gift of wave-sliding ( Heʻe Nalu ) to the world, but who respected, managed and protected their coastal ecosystems for the benefit of all.

As the Surf Park movement continues to spread worldwide, Seatrees is there as a trusted partner for the growing industry to help keep the original values of the surfing culture at the forefront of the experience – by making it simple, affordable and turn-key for Surf Parks to give back to the Ocean, by restoring degraded coastal ecosystems around the world.

Partnership Opportunities

Seatrees coastal restoration projects help mitigate negative environmental impacts related to Surf Park operations – while leaving a lasting positive legacy for people and our Ocean planet

Option 1: Plant a Seatree

Plant a Seatree to improve ocean health

Every individual booking = 1 Seatree planted. For as little as $1, you can plant Seatrees and boost biodiversity.

Option 2: Build Back Biodiversity

Plant a Seatree and build back biodiversity in the ecosystem

Add $3 to the cost of each visit to restore and build back biodiversity.

Option 3: Ocean+Positive Surf Park

Plant a Seatree, build back biodiversity, and wipe out climate impact

Seatrees will calculate the carbon footprint of your Surf Park operations so you can wipe it out with our Seatrees+Climate product, which protects & restores coastal ecosystems around the world.

Case Studies

The Wave

On World Oceans Day, Seatrees partnered with The Wave to plant one mangrove tree for every five waves created. We planted a total of 1,729 mangrove trees in Mida Creek, Kenya.

Check out this video with Nick Hounsfield, Founder of The Wave, about their partnership with Seatrees.

The LineUp at Wai Kai

The LineUp at Wai Kai was the first Ocean+Positive Surf Park. They wiped out the carbon footprint of operations of the Wai Kai Wave with Seatrees. For every guest activity booking they donated $1 to Seatrees+Climate Biodiversity Blocks, which supported the Maui Watershed project.
