What Is Biodiversity?
Biodiversity is the full spectrum of life on our Ocean Planet, encompassing species, genetic diversity, and ecosystems - think birds, sea turtles, dolphins, crabs, fish, whales, mangrove trees, kelp, coral reefs, etc. It plays a vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems that provide essential services like clean air, water filtration, and climate regulation. In marine ecosystems such as mangrove forests, biodiversity supports numerous species while protecting coastlines and sustaining local communities.

The first Biodiversity Blocks available for purchase are Mangrove+ Blocks.
Each Block:
- plants one mangrove tree in Marereni, Kenya
- funds 10 years of protection and monitoring, while employing the local community to track a range of ecological and social benefits using a publicly reviewed, science-based methodology.
Buyers of Mangrove+ Blocks will receive 10 years of impact reports.
Kelp+ and Coral+ Biodiversity Blocks are planned for release later in 2025.

When you purchase a Mangrove+ Biodiversity Block, your block is retired upon purchase on the Regen Network, ensuring its permanent contribution to ecosystem restoration.
This unique token is your digital receipt, complete with collectible artwork, and is issued on the Solana blockchain.

A key feature of the Seatrees+Biodiversity is the Dynamic Outcome Reporting system. Every buyer gains access to the Seatrees Impact Dashboard, where you can follow the ongoing progress of the project. The dashboard is updated with photos, videos, and stories from the field, offering a firsthand view of how your contribution is transforming the ecosystem.
You’ll also have access to all project data, including annual evaluation reports and real-time biodiversity uplift performance. Whether accessing through your email or Seatrees Token, the dashboard provides a transparent and engaging way to stay connected with the impact of your purchase.

Seatrees Biodiversity Blocks Disclaimer
Upon purchase, your Seatrees+Biodiversity Blocks will be retired on the Regen Network after a three-day period to allow for payment clearance. Once the Blocks are retired, buyers will receive a Seatrees Token, an NFT on the Solana blockchain, as a digital receipt for the credit purchase and retirement. Non-crypto users can access their Seatrees Token through their email via the Seatrees Impact Dashboard, while crypto users have the option to transfer their tokens to their Solana wallets.
Please note that refunds cannot be issued after the Biodiversity Blocks have been retired, without exception. The Seatrees Token will be issued after the Block retirement process is complete.
