It's Earth Month! 🌎
Happy Earth Month!
Earth Month takes place during April every year and is a time to raise awareness, encourage positive impacts, and reflect on how far the environmental stewardship movement has come.
Throughout this month, leaders and environmental activists from all over the world come together to create sustainable development and offer climate solutions to minimize our carbon footprint and prevent further harm to the one home we all share.
So join us in celebrating as we partner with some incredible brands and projects aimed at helping the planet in some fun and exciting ways. Make sure to tune in on our social media to find out how you can join us for some #oceanpositive fun, or get a head start and consider planting a SeaTree for yourself, your friends, and your family this Earth Month!
From the Sea to the Shaping Bay
We’ve had a little #seacret in the works for awhile now, and we’re stoked to finally be able to share it with you all.Introducing the latest Sustainable Surf and Protect Blue film - The Seaweed Surfboard. We’re super excited to share this film which documents a rad project happening on a little island called Jersey, in between England & France - where local shapers Charlie Cadin & Ryan Hervé have been experimenting with seaweed. Yep, the stuff you can find on beaches all around the world.

Ride the Wave of Sustainability
This year, The LineUp at Wai Kai has partnered with Sustainable Surf and SeaTrees to wipe out the carbon footprint of the Wai Kai Wave’s operations and support local projects including our Hoʻowaiwai Watershed Project.
For every guest activity booking on the Wai Kai Wave or the Wai Kai Lagoon, The LineUp will donate $1 to the SeaTrees program to support the restoration of the coastal watershed that protects coral reefs downstream, and educational programs for the keiki.
Learn more about their sustainability commitment here.
About The LineUp at Wai Kai: A year-round social and recreational venue that offers surfing on the 100-foot-wide Wai Kai Wave – a standing wave similar to Oʻahu’s famous North Shore Waimea River Sand Bar, and watersports activities with non-motorized watercraft on the adjacent 52-acre Wai Kai Lagoon. It also provides dining options at The LookOut Food & Drink, an Ocean Friendly Restaurant, and Foam Coffee & Bar. Sessions Lifestyle & Apparel is the retail store on property that carries curated brands focused on sustainability. The venue also showcases the Wai Kai Show, which tells the history of Heʻe Nalu (surfing) and Heʻe Puʻe Wai (river wave surfing) through spellbinding Hawaiian and Tahitian performances, paired with a dinner menu meticulously crafted by the culinary staff.
Don't miss our first event of the Season!
We hope to see you there!
