Save the Polar Bears and Walruses With Bare Kind

Our partners over at Bare Kind are on a mission to help save the threatened species of the arctic by planting mangrove trees with SeaTrees! But how do mangroves (and socks) help these animals on the other side of the planet?

Planting mangrove trees can help protect the habitats of polar bears and walruses by mitigating the effects of climate change. They absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it in their roots and sediment, which helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that contribute to climate change and the melting of these animals home.  

 Bare Kind's hope is that something as humble as a pair of socks can make a lasting impression on our world and change it for the better. We're very excited to partner with an organization like Bare Kind who are making a difference and empowering the restoration of our planet with their socks.
