Sustainable Brands: Bumble Bee Plants ‘SeaTrees’ to Kick Off Ocean-Regeneration Initiative

When Bumble Bee Seafoods came to us looking for a way to regenerate ocean health, funding the next major patch of Giant Kelp restoration near their Southern California HQ was the perfect solution.

In addition to restoring 1000s of square feet of kelp, Bumble Bee is helping to fund the opportunity for our science partners, The Bay Foundation, to create an effective strategy for kelp forest restoration that can be replicated around the world.

“If we weren’t doing this project and bringing partners in like Bumble Bee, there would not be the opportunity for our science partners — like The Bay Foundation — to measure the impact, document it, and then create an effective strategy for kelp forest restoration to be scaled up elsewhere on the West Coast,” - Michael Stewart, Co-founder SeaTrees/Sustainable Surf.
