Join us in restoring the coastal ecosystems of Marereni, Kenya, by planting a mangrove Seatree!
Each mangrove tree you plant helps rebuild the health of 640 hectares of degraded mangrove forest within Kilifi County, fostering biodiversity, improving livelihoods, and combating climate change.
With your support, we collaborate with local communities of Kilifi County in Kenya, and our project partners, COBEC (Community Based Environmental Conservation), to plant over 775,000 mangrove trees at this site. Together, we're creating a thriving habitat for marine life and a sustainable future for the community.
Every mangrove you help to plant:
- Creates over 600 jobs for the local community.
- Ensures 40% of these jobs are held by women.
- Increases access to healthcare and food.
- Provides training to local villagers to manage mangrove nurseries.
- Protects local communities from storm surges and sea-level rise.
- Enhances fishing activities and resources.
