With Seatrees, every man-made wave can create positive change in the natural world

Giving Back To The Ocean
Surf Parks are not just creating waves, they are re-creating the culture of surfing that was born in the ocean thousands of years ago and perfected by ancient Hawaiians – who perfected both wave-sliding (He’e Nalu) and the sustainable management of coastal ecosystems.
Seatrees partners with Surf Parks to help them protect and restore coastal ecosystems, and incorporate the original values of Hawaiian surf culture.
Partnership Opportunities
Seatrees is a trusted partner for the growing Surf Park industry – to make it simple, affordable and turn-key for Surf Parks to give back to the Ocean, by restoring degraded coastal ecosystems around the world.

Option 1: Plant a Seatree
Every individual booking = 1 Seatree planted.
For as little as $1, you can plant Seatrees and boost biodiversity.
Planting occurs in existing Seatrees projects. We have over 30 projects worldwide.
See full project list.

Option 2: Custom Ecosystem Restoration
Let Seatrees design and develop a custom ocean ecosystem restoration in your neighborhood.
Seatrees specializes in developing high-quality, science-based marine restoration projects.

Option 3: Ocean+Positive Surf Park
Surf Parks that take responsibility for their climate impact are eligible for our Ocean+Postive certification.
Seatrees will calculate the carbon footprint of your Surf Park operations so you can wipe it out with our unique Seatrees+Climate blue carbon solution.
Surf Park Case Studies

The Wave
On World Oceans Day, Seatrees partnered with The Wave to plant one mangrove tree for every five waves created. We planted a total of 1,729 mangrove trees in Mida Creek, Kenya.
Check out this video with Nick Hounsfield, Founder of The Wave, about their partnership with Seatrees.

The LineUp at Wai Kai
The LineUp at Wai Kai was the first Ocean+Positive Surf Park. They wiped out the carbon footprint of operations of the Wai Kai Wave with Seatrees. For every guest activity booking they donated $1 to Seatrees+Climate, which supported the Maui Watershed project.
