There is no environmentalism or climate justice without social justice.

Today is World Environment Day. It’s time to wake up. To take notice. To raise our voices. It’s time to build back better for people and planet.

Now, more than ever, it's become clear that the global environmental crisis is also a social crisis. We need a new "Blueprint" for solving both environmental & social issues as the single related problem they are.

There is no environmentalism or climate justice without social justice.

Today, through to World Oceans Day on Monday, we’re donating 100% of the profits from the first run of our new Ocean Positive camp mugs to GoFundMe’s Justice and Equality Fund. Donations will support organizations focused on pretrial system reform, racial justice, and law enforcement reform. Initial benefiting nonprofits include The Bail Project, the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Center for Policing Equity.

Every camp mug sold also restores 1 square foot of giant kelp forest in Southern California + plants 1 mangrove tree in West Papua, Indonesia.

Today, we're also giving you a preview of this Ocean Positive video from our latest SeaTrees mangrove forest restoration site in West Papua, where the local community is being supported to regenerate the health of their own coastal ecosystems. The project, in partnership with Eden Projects, provides direct employment opportunities for individuals to support their families, while also enabling many of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Raise your voice [+ your fist too]

We’ve been participating in peaceful paddle-outs in our Californian hometowns and today Black Girls Surf is taking that effort global - find a paddle-out happening near you.

Can’t make it to one of the paddle-out events to raise your voice with others against systemic racism?  Get there in spirit instead & help raise funds for The George Floyd memorial fund by snagging this new Paddle Out print from Alimo.
