This #GivingTuesday, celebrate 4M+ SeaTrees planted and the ocean of impact you made possible.
With your help, we’ve planted SeaTrees, launched our groundbreaking biodiversity credits, restored coastal ecosystems, and advanced kelp research into carbon solutions.
Together, we’re making waves for our Ocean Planet!
Dive into a note from one of our Founder to see how your support made this impact possible - and join us in building a thriving future for our ocean.
When we launched SeaTrees on World Oceans Day 2019, we had high expectations but didn’t know just how impactful this program would be. We’ve now planted more than 4 million SeaTrees across 26 projects globally.
2024 has been one of our most impactful years yet and we couldn’t have done it without you.
This year, we introduced SeaTrees Biodiversity Blocks, the world’s first marine biodiversity credits. We started with mangrove Blocks and we’ll be adding coral and kelp Blocks in the near future. We believe this is the future of scaling up ocean ecosystem restoration projects and we’re right on the cutting edge of this emerging concept. We’ll be talking a lot about this in 2025.
We also collaborated with Scripps scientists to support our coral restoration project partners with the monitoring, reporting, and verification of coral reef restoration. Expect a huge announcement on this in January 2025.
Additionally, we funded a postdoc student at Scripps who is studying how wild kelp sequesters carbon so we can create a methodology and the world’s first carbon credits from wild kelp forests. We have a short film about this project we’ll be sharing soon.
This holiday season, please support SeaTrees and our mission to regenerate the health of our ocean planet. We’ve got big plans for 2025 and we hope you’ll keep surfing with us on our way to 100 projects by 2030.
Starting today through the end of the year, SONOS is matching all donations up to $10,000! That means your donation goes twice as far. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to double your impact—together, we can make waves for ocean restoration and local communities around the globe.
